Crispy Chicken Caesar Sliders
These crispy chicken Caesar sliders are my answer to those nights when I crave the comfort of a classic Caesar salad but want something fun, handheld, and satisfying. You get juicy, double-breaded chicken tucked into soft slider buns with a tangy, garlicky homemade Caesar dressing and plenty of crunchy romaine. I love making these whenever I need an easy crowd-pleaser that feels a bit special. If you’re a fan of crispy chicken burgers and Caesar salad, this recipe brings both worlds together in the best way.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS
- Crispy, juicy chicken every time: double-breading keeps the meat tender inside and super crunchy outside.
- All the Caesar flavors you love: creamy, garlicky, lemony dressing with a salty hit of parmesan in every bite.
- Perfect for sharing: these crispy chicken caesar sliders are great for parties, family movie nights, or an easy dinner where everyone can build their own.
WHAT ARE CRISPY CHICKEN CAESAR SLIDERS?
Crispy chicken Caesar sliders are sandwiches built on soft slider buns, filled with golden breaded chicken pieces, crunchy romaine lettuce and a rich homemade Caesar dressing. Think of it as your favorite chicken Caesar salad turned into a warm sandwich. This version uses simple pantry ingredients, skips complicated steps, and lets the flavor of the dressing and crunchy coating do all the work.
I’ve tested this recipe multiple times to get that perfect balance between crispy coating and juicy chicken inside and this version is the one I keep coming back to.

FOOD SCIENCE NOTES
- Double-breading = extra crunch: Coating the chicken in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs creates layers that crisp up beautifully when fried or air-fried.
- Acid lifts the richness: Fresh lemon juice in the dressing balances the mayo and parmesan, so the sliders taste bright, not heavy.
- Salt + umami: Worcestershire sauce (or anchovy) adds depth and a subtle savory backbone that makes these crispy chicken caesar sliders taste like a classic Caesar.
HOW TO MAKE IT
Please note: This is just an overview – the full ingredients and directions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Step 1: Prep and bread the chicken.
Slice the chicken into thinner cutlets, then into slider-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, pressing gently so the coating sticks.

Step 2: Cook the chicken.
Heat a thin layer of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. (Alternatively, air fry at 200°C (400°F) for about 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.) Transfer to a rack or paper towel while you finish the rest.

Step 3: Make the Caesar dressing.
In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and garlic. Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce (or mashed anchovy) and mix until smooth. Stir in the grated parmesan until the dressing is creamy and thick.

Step 4: Prep the lettuce.
In a separate bowl, toss the chopped romaine with about 2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing and 2 tablespoons finely grated parmesan until well coated.

Step 5: Assemble the sliders.
Slice the slider buns and toast the cut sides in a dry pan until lightly browned. Spread a little extra dressing on the bottom half of each bun, add a piece (or two) of crispy chicken, top with the dressed romaine, sprinkle with extra parmesan, and close with the top bun. Serve immediately while the chicken is still warm and crunchy.

STORING AND REHEATING
- Make-ahead: You can make the Caesar dressing and prep the lettuce ahead of time. Then just bread the chicken and fry until crispy when you’re ready to serve.
- Reheating: Reheat cooked chicken pieces in the oven or air fryer (never the microwave) to bring back the crispiness.
NOTES FROM MY KITCHEN
I love making these crispy chicken caesar sliders when I want something fun and comforting that doesn’t feel like a heavy burger. If I’m feeding kids, I sometimes keep their sliders simpler with just crispy chicken, lettuce, and a lighter smear of dressing. You can easily turn this into a full-size sandwich by using regular burger buns and slightly larger chicken pieces.
If you like extra punchy flavor, add more lemon juice and a little extra Worcestershire to the dressing or finish the sliders with a squeeze of lemon right before serving. My family love them with an extra fries on the side.
